After reading about Microsoft's intention to acquire them, Yahoo Board members concluded the unsolicited $44.6 billion offer massively undervalues the Web pioneer, a person familiar with the situation told the newspaper.
Interesting, but I've heard some interpretations that state that the truth is the opposite. Some say that because Yahoo have said that the bid price is too low, this means that they are, in fact, considering Microsoft's offer - if only it was a little higher.
I heard rumors of Yahoo actually teaming up with Google against Microsoft. This would explain Microsoft's bid and Yahoo's decline. But it's all speculation now I guess.
